Dr. Don Hebbard, Ed.D.
Vice President, Academic Services and Professor of Counseling
Amberton University

Dr. Don Hebbard is a speaker, marriage and family therapist, professor and author. For over twenty-five years he has helped individuals, families, organizations and churches heal and grow through his speeches, seminars and teaching.  He taught at Oklahoma Christian University as a Professor of Bible from July 1, 1997 through April 2006 during which time he developed lessons for eBibleStudy.

Don is the Vice President for Academic Services at Amberton University where he is Professor of Counseling. He is the founding Executive Director of three family institutes including the Family Center of the Metroplex in Dallas, the Genesis Center for Christian Counseling in Atlanta and the Institute for Marriage and the Family in Oklahoma City. Governor Frank Keating named Don the state of Oklahoma’s first Director of Marriage Education. He has served on the faculty of several universities.

Don holds a doctorate (EdD) in Adult Education-Training and Development from Texas Women’s University and master’s degree (M.MFT.) in Marriage and Family Therapy and (MS) in Communications from Abilene Christian University as well as a BS degree from Abilene Christian University. His research and writings have appeared in The New York Times, Ladies Home Journal, The London Times and the Public Broadcasting System.
