Acts - Lesson 5

Acts 5

Lying, Healing, and Growing Persecution

  1. The student can explain the temptation to lie which Ananias and Sapphira faced and how we face similar temptations.
  2. The student can explain the role of miracles in the early church.
  3. The student can trace the increase in persecution of the church in Jerusalem.

  1. Have copies of Notes/Review sheets ready to hand out.
  2. Have copies of Written Review No. 4 ready to hand out as students enter the room.

God's power is at work in the early church by punishing a case of lying, by the miracles done, and by protecting the apostles from persecution.
